...fearfully and wonderfully made
Just got my software in the mail, loaded it up and it works! Now I can move ahead with my human skeleton. I know there are plenty of them already done and easily bought, but while I have the time it's a great way to learn and understand forms that I don't usually think about (and take for granted.)

Pen and ink
Couple of sketches from last year. I was assigned a graphic on the opening of the new Cheetah Hunt roller coaster at Busch Gardens so I got to go the park and walk around the ride still under construction. These were a couple of filler pieces for the overall graphic.

Christmas music review
I wanted to post this before we got too far past Christmas, even though I did this last year. Shows a few steps in the 3d process. I found a picture on ebay of an old toy truck and based this one off of it. The bottom picture is what ran on the inside spread. All the surface maps (like the wrapping paper designs, cd and truck paint job) were done in Illustrator.

Blood cells
Modeling and rendering blood cells. The red ones and platelets are easy! The white cells and activated white cells a little bit harder.

Mickey and the Clash
Illo went with a story about a big concert in Orlando this past fall. Idea was to redo the classic Clash album cover with Mickey.
My first mick model was the right scale but wouldn't work when posed! Arms and neck and legs were too short. Bottom version is all stretched out.
News Illos
Well, except for the gator. That was just for fun. Top was with a story on real estate, same with the bottom.
Infographics
These images here are the bread and butter of news artists... making news and information visual and easier to understand.
