Tree frog wip

The frog starts out pretty simple. The legs were a little hard to shape properly until I put him into a sitting pose and could see how the limbs folded and held up the body. Had to rework the back feet and add webbing between the toes and twist the forefeet into the correct position, add a couple morph targets for the mouth and tongue and then done!

Shuffle your feet

If you've been to the beach on the gulf coast that's what they tell you to do so you don't step on a stingray.

Sailfish with a quick texture and pose

Pose shows the morph targets of the dorsal fin lowered and mouth open. Added a few bones to do a simple bend.

What could this be?

A sailfish! This was fun to model. The only tricky part was the big fin on top. I had to model all the spines in order to fold it all down in a morph target.

Back to marine modeling

Here's the latest, a manta ray. I started out just modeling one side and then mirrored it at different points to check the overall shape. To do the mouth interior I split the model again so it was easier to see inside, then mirrored again and welded all the points. I made two morphs, one opens the mouth and the other the gills.

Snook bench

The latest in my hand-painted-home-made furniture. The size is 4' long x 2' high. I copied a real old bench we have in a small hallway. It's perfect for piling shoes on the bottom and backpacks on top.
